No-one wants to get caught without capturing all the project impact issues or community acceptance. The need to correctly meet environmental legislation is an added challenge, which can bog us down in paperwork or protacted negotiations.
Many mining companies have recognised the benefits of help with navigation through these issues – and Rural Solutions SA is perfectly placed to assist.

Pollution mitigation at mine site
The pyrites mining operation at Dawesley Creek was causing the leaching of acids into downstream water and community concerns were naturally very high.
Focusing on the 25-km stretch of the Creek, the Rural Solutions SA team put an environmental impact plan into action, commissioning and managing remedial and containment works.
This included revegetation activities along the creek and extensive consultation with the local community.
Local knowledge and networks - and a professional and thorough approach resolved the issue – maintaining both mining operation and a healthy environment.
