From time to time Rural Solutions SA has a need to employ people on a casual basis on a range of projects. Expressions of interest are invited for Casual Project Consultants who have experience or expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Demonstrates expertise in any of the following-

• Primary production systems and farming practices;
• Farm management, including interactive group workshop planning, coordination and delivery of workshops, implementation and reporting;
• Soil and land management;
• Water management including irrigation, hydrology, waste water re-use, water efficiency;
• Horticulture;
• Field crops/agronomy;
• Animal health and livestock management, including the dairy industry;
• Capture fisheries or aquaculture production;
• Product supply/value chain analysis, facilitation and development;
• Spatial information technologies;
• Climate and land science;
• Revegetation including the principles of environmental management technology, native vegetation protection, ecosystem management and wetland management;
• Environmental assessment, development and management;
• Pest management (plant and animal);
• Private forestry;
• Community development - social impact assessment, community engagement, communication;
• Facilitation - planning, engagement and customer facilitation.
• Sound understanding and broad skills in relation to project management: developing project plans, providing accurate estimations of project timeframes, resource requirements and costs.
• Competent with the suite of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.

You will need a current driver's licence, and be aware that occasional out of hours work and intrastate travel may be required. Rural Solutions SA has offices across South Australia and may have a need for a Casual Project Consultant in any of those offices.

The rate of pay will be determined by the work to be undertaken, and the experience and knowledge you bring to the role.
