Purity and germination testing

Submit a representative sample to Seed Services Australia for purity and germination testing. Information from test results can be used to accurately label seed.

Purity tests identify the principal species in the sample, any other seeds, and any physical contaminants. A germination test determines the potential planting value of the seed.

Get it right

Test results relate only to the seed submitted in the sample. To be meaningful, the sample needs to represent the entire lot of seed – otherwise you risk providing misleading information. Seed Services Australia can provide information about seed sampling to make sure you get it right. We can even supply practical, hands-on training.
