Developed in partnership with the Australian Beef Industry, national and international scientific organisations, the CRC for Beef Genetic Technologies will focus on four industry priorities issues (high quality beef, feed efficiency, disease resistance and improved reproductive performance).

Research outcomes will provide Australia with the ability to consistently produce beef products, which meet the specification s and expectations of domestic and export consumers. This will be achieved through gene discovery and expression and accelerated adoption of beef industry technologies to improve profitability, productivity, animal welfare and responsible resource use. This will ensure Australia's position as the World's Number 1 Beef Trader.

Rural Solutions SA, working with the CRC, is providing the link to livestock production systems to which new technologies will be delivered.
