General livestock advice

For the state government of South Australia we provide general livestock and animal health advice in response to public enquiry. Technical, regulatory and industry information is provided by livestock consultants at our offices strategically located in rural South Australia. We use PrimeNotes, the PIRSA Fax Service, The Farmer Information Centre, software packages and other publications to support this general information service.

Where more detailed information and advice is required, clients are referred to one of our consultancy services.

Customised consultancies

Specific technical and business management consultancy services are tailored to meet our customers' requirements. These services are provided for individual farmers and companies. They frequently incorporate a combination of expertise, such as pasture utilisation and management, breeding and reproduction, marketing, and business analysis.

Project management

Our consultants manage industry and government funded projects on a team or individual basis and in partnership with other providers as required by clients.

Producer group facilitation

Consultants establish and facilitate producer groups in South Australia.
