Locky McLaren Executive Director, Rural Solutions SA presented The Hilton Adelaide’s Brasserie restaurant with the ‘Services to Industry’ award. This presentation took place at the star-studded 2006 Premier’s Food Awards where contributors to the South Australian food and beverages sector were honoured in a range of award categories. Other finalists for this award that were acknowledged were Mercorella Group, for its special services in managing and distributing fresh produce; Site Academy, for its progressive food service, event and tourism training; and Virginia Horticulture Centre for its focus on industry development.
The new ‘Services to Industry’ award placed a spotlight on the innovative and premium quality delivered by the ‘Seriously South Australian!’ menu provided by The Hilton Adelaide’s Brasserie restaurant.
In his speech to the awards audience, Locky emphasized that the industry depended on continued growth and innovative approaches to ensure a viable future. He took the opportunity to explain why his team has an affinity with these values, outlining the broad services that Rural Solutions SA delivers to the food and beverage sector.
Locky said, “our success depends on being able to deliver sustainable results for both business and the environment”.
