Growers in the South East will benefit from the Keith office of Rural Solutions SA becoming a shop front for Seed Services Australia.
Local staff will also provide hands on advice and guidance for Seed Services Australia’s exciting internet services – seeds online and payments online, and process crop applications and account payments.
The new services were recently launched with an open house and sausage sizzle for all Seed Services Australia clients at the Keith office.
It is anticipated in the near future a special label printer will be placed at the Keith office allowing local seed processors quicker and easier access to Pre-Basic and Basic Seed labels. These have traditionally been printed out at the Waite in Adelaide.
Seed Services Australia Manager Peter Smith said by establishing a customer service contact point at Keith seed industry clients would benefit from the improved service.
“As the leading provider of seed certification and seed testing services to Australia’s temperate pasture seed industry for over 70 years this is a further step in providing local growers and their marketers with the best possible service.
“Tarnya Brooksby, Laticia Dick and the team at the Keith office will offer a local face to the administrative side of Seed Services Australia,” said Mr Smith.
David Carter, based at Struan, remains in charge of field inspections in the South East and western Victoria.
