Rural Solutions SA General Manager Group Operations Rod Miller is now Vice President and Director of the Australian Seed Federation (ASF).

Within Rural Solutions SA Rod Miller has direct responsibility for Seed Services Australia, a commercial business unit managed by Peter Smith.

Over the past four years Seeds Services Australia has been positioned to meet the expanding needs of the national seed market.

Looking to profile the critical role of seed testing, certification and trading standards, Rod Miller is aiming to contribute personally to the seed industry as an important section of Australian Agribusiness.

As the peak seed organisation in Australia, the ASF represents the interests of its members involved in the breeding, production and marketing of sowing seed - at State, national and international level.

SureSeed® Program the shooting star

The business showcased its new SureSeed® Program which is the shooting star in the current season based on the high level of crop applications. 

Seed Services Australia Business, Manager Peter Smith feels the most pleasing aspect of the surge in uptake in the SureSeed® Program is that the enrolled cereal & pulse seed crops stretch from southern NSW and north east Victoria, down through the Wimmera and to all cropping areas of South Australia.

Importantly the majority of the major field crop seed producing companies and their production agents operating across the above regions are participating at some level in the SureSeed® Program.
