Planning for climate extremes

The SARDI Climate applications Unit invites all primary producers to a fully subsidised one-day workshop presented by Melissa Rebbeck or Peter Hayman – including visits from PIRSA staff and the Bureau of Meteorology.

You can learn and discuss

  • What climate and weather to expect for the coming season.
  • How to adapt to climate change and climate trends and what they are.
  • How to cope with the season.

SARDI collaborates with the best forecasters and researchers around the country.  The recent SARDI research was funded by SAGIT, GRDC, and LWW, with latest outcomes being provided to you during the workshop, which include:

  • NEW!  A Seasonal Climate Outlook Guide
  • NEW!  A Frost Risk Decision Guide
  • A Climate Risk Management Resource Manual
  • Workshop Materials
  • Subscription to the monthly seasonal climate outlook newsletter

SAGIT, GRDC, SA MDB NRM Board and FarmBis are subsidising all of these costs so you pay nothing to attend and receive materials.  The total cost of the workshop is valued at $400.

There will be a workshop held at Keith on March 9th, 2007 and to register  your interest, contact Trudi Duffield for more information on (08) 8303 9718 or email duffield.trudi@saugov.sa.gov.au
