Hi everyone! My name is Kate Ridgway and I have recently joined the Rural Solutions SA team in Clare. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Science) from Adelaide Uni in 2005, I have worked for a grain marketing business, and subsequently with my family’s farming business in the South East of SA. I have been employed by Rural Solutions SA, as an agribusiness, facilitation and planning consultant.

I will be interacting with farmers and rural people in many ways: through agribusiness related projects such as property management planning or whole of farm planning, where we will look at the complete enterprise, and strategies to enhance your business. I will also be working with individual property owners and managers to generate business plans. Additionally I will be involved in facilitation of agribusiness projects particularly those with a financial angle.

I have just taken on the role of local coordinator for the Mid North SA Young Guns group. The aim of this project is to bring together young lamb producers to form a group to provide them an opportunity to develop their knowledge, business skills and adopt innovation in the sheep industry. This is an exciting opportunity and there will be further information very soon!
