The annual series of meetings on Eyre Peninsula will provide farmers with an opportunity to hear about the recent outcomes and developments from research conducted by staff at Minnipa Agricultural Centre.

In recent years these findings are a catalyst for farmers to adopt change to their farming operation with an emphasis on sustainable profitability and minimal exposure to risk.

This year presentations will range from new cereal varieties, soil compaction, row direction and spacing, fungicides for Rhizoctonia control and tillage management in stony soils plus the opportunity to discuss any pre-seeding issues.

Local Agricultural Bureau’s and Farmer groups are co-ordinating the meetings will all local farmers welcome to attend and participate.

The meetings on Eyre Peninsula are on the following dates and locations.

Eastern Eyre Peninsula

• Franklin Harbour Ag Bureau: Tuesday 25th March @ 6.00pm with BBQ tea at Cowell Sports Club.
  Buckleboo Farm Improvement Group: Wednesday 26th March @ 8.00am with breakfast at Buckleboo Club.
  
• Lock /Murdinga Farmers Group: Wednesday 26th March @ 8.00pm at Lock Sports Club.
  
• Crossville Ag Bureau: Thursday 27th March @ 7.30am with breakfast at Cleve Field day site.
  
• Wharminda/Arno Bay Ag Bureau's: Thursday 27th March @ 8.00pm at Wharminda hall.
