BSB40901 Certificate IV in Business Governance

The Certificate IV in Business (Governance) meets the needs of people who wish to extend or develop their knowledge and skills of Board management in Indigenous Community Organisations.

The competency units used in Business Governance take quite a distinctive approach and can be organised under the main headings below:

  • Working with the community
  • Community leadership
  • Managing the organisation
  • Working with the wider community

This qualification and the units can be adapted to also suit the needs of a wide range of non-Indigenous community group and organisations where governance is required eg. clubs and societies

To achieve the Certificate IV in Business Governance you will need to complete 8 core competency units and 5 elective competency units.

Training and assessment can be undertaken via Learning Guides delivered by qualified and experienced trainers working within the Indigenous communities.  Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will also be offered to eligible clients.  For more information on RPL and Learning & Progression Pathways see home page: Explanation of AQTF and the VET system
